Lanai Four Seasons Resort |Yuwei & Lewis

Lanai Four Seasons Resort is located on Lanai, a private Hawaiian island known as a secluded paradise favored by the world’s elite.

It’s no wonder that Bill Gates chose this idyllic destination for his wedding of the century. Surrounded by the crystal-clear Pacific Ocean, swaying palm trees, and lush tropical gardens, the resort is a haven of tranquility and romance that feels like a dream come to life. 🌿

We were honored to be invited by the stunning couple, Xiaomi and Lewis, to capture their magical wedding at this breathtaking venue. Here, we’re sharing tips and important details for couples interested in planning a wedding at Lanai Four Seasons Resort.

Here are some tips about planning your wedding at Lanai Four Seasons Resort.

  1. Complimentary Private Plane and Transfer Service The resort provides complimentary private plane services for guests, making travel seamless between Hawaii’s main islands (e.g., Oahu, Maui). With your stay booked, you’ll enjoy free transportation from the airport to the hotel, including private flights and shuttle buses—a truly thoughtful service.

Ceremony This wedding’s ceremony took place at the 12th hole at Manele Golf Course, an iconic spot. To reach the venue, guests travel from the hotel lobby via a hotel-provided shuttle bus and then transfer to golf carts. The journey takes about 15 minutes (10 minutes by bus + 5 minutes by golf cart).

💡 Note: Private vehicles are not allowed at the ceremony site, so you must use the resort’s transportation. 💰 Cost: Approximately $10,000 (for a guest list of around 30 people).

  1. Vendors The resort offers various wedding packages, some of which include photography or floral services. If you prefer your own vendors, you’re welcome to bring external teams. However, due to limited local floral resources, most flowers need to be imported. Hiring an experienced Hawaii-based florist is highly recommended.

💡 Important Notes:

Ensure your photography/videography team coordinates with the hotel at least one month before the wedding. They’ll need to complete a “Right of Entry” form and provide proof of insurance (COI) and other documentation. If drones will be used, FAA certification and additional permits are required. Hawaii enforces strict drone regulations (luckily, our team holds all necessary certifications and had no issues! ).

  1. Reception The reception can be held indoors or outdoors:

Outdoor Reception: Available until 10 PM, ideal for couples who love open-air venues. Indoor Reception: Offers more flexibility. This couple opted for an indoor space. 💰 Costs:

Indoor venue rental fee: $2,500 Catering: Approximately $200/person (excluding alcohol). Bar service costs depend on the specific selections.

We hope these insights are helpful for couples planning their dream wedding. Lanai Four Seasons Resort is undeniably a perfect venue for a fairytale wedding.
